WalterFilm.com is the website and online store for one of the world’s foremost dealers in vintage original movie postersmovie star photoslobby cardsmovie scripts & rare books and Hollywood movie memorabilia. In addition, it represents sub-specialties of theater and stage, African American cultural history, as well as LGBTQ film, stage, art, and social history.

Several years ago, Walter Reuben, WalterFilm’s owner, approached High Arte about updating and refining WalterFilm’s brand, including its ecommerce website, blog, newsletter and marketing materials. As a result, the brand and online presence were reconceived by High Arte to reflect the museum-quality of its vintage original merchandise and the exceptional knowledge base that Walter Reuben and Woolsey Ackerman provide.

Logo & Website

The WalterFilm logo (above) was redesigned to capture the period flavor of films of the 1930s and 1940s while maintaining a simple, timeless appearance. The design of the website and online store was inspired by the Tate Modern’s online store while Walter and Woolsey’s extraordinary knowledge base and curatorial capabilities were highlighted under the Collections and Curatorship sections of the website.

The WalterFilm monthly blog offers information and insight into topics that reflect the various aspects of its business as well as related news items or information that impact the provenance and value of relevant collectables.

WalterFilm’s monthly blog posts cover a range of categories:

The WalterFilm newsletter alerts clients and interested parties to items that have been added to the website and, in the case of the March 7th newsletter below, information about what WalterFilm is up to –– its participation in the 59th Annual International Antiquarian Book Fair and the NY Times Selection of WalterFilm’s publicity photograph for the 1970 film “Boys In The Band” as the Fair’s identifying image. And if you’d like to read the Times’ description of its participation, Click Here.

Last year, it was decided that Walter Reuben Inc. should expand its digital marketing profile to include a portfolio of catalogs that will consist of exceptional items. The first catalog in this series is 126 pages and encompasses the breadth and depth of Walter Reuben Inc.’s collecting and connoisseurship.

The cover is graced by the stunning photograph of Audrey Hepburn in the “little black dress” designed by Hubert de Givenchy and worn by her in the opening scene of the 1961 romantic comedy Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

The Catalog can be viewed in a flip file HERE.
